We had our big ultrasound this morning and invited both of the mothers to go with us. Unfortunately, my mother is out of town nursing my sweet aunt back to health after reconstructive breast surgery (she is a 13 year breast cancer survivor!) so just Angie was able to attend. I have attached all pictures, mainly so my mom can look at them and feel like she was there too!
Some highlights:
- Baby was moving ALOT! It was all over the place.
- Baby was opening it's mouth and sticking out it's tongue (must be a girl!)
- the ultrasound technician commented on how long the Baby's toes are (wonder where it gets that from?!?)
- Baby weighs exactly 1 pound
- Baby is measuring at 21 weeks 6 days (instead of 20 weeks 3 days!) so that is 10 days ahead, which puts the baby at a May 21 arrival. BUT, they are not changing my due date at this time. The Baby is likely to have had a recent growth spurt and could easily even out towards the end. We just think it is funny and are fully aware that we are not having a petite baby.
- the momma has gained a total of 8 pounds and is very happy with that number!
- Baby still has a strong heart beat and we saw all 4 chambers of the heart
