They keep taking me to this place.....

called Ribs, etc.

We walk in and everyone knows our names and they're always glad we came.

Mommy didn't have anything prepared for dinner.....so she suggested going to Ribs....knowing that Daddy would never turn that down!

What kind of bbq sauce would you like? The Ribs Original or Avery's Gold? I got to meet the real Avery last Saturday night.

I woke up from my nap and Daddy was telling me all about his favorites: the bbq and hot wings.

I got to meet Shelly for the first time tonight. She loved me, of course! Everytime my daddy walks in, she puts a cold Budweiser on the bar, that is some good customer service!

Thoughts on Fannie Bradley's 2nd Month!

How is it even possible that we have a two month old?

To commemerate this special occasion, we found Fannie B swaddle free this morning. She had wiggled her way out of her blanket. But, it was one of the smaller swaddling blankets that we really shouldn't be using anymore because she is too long for it! So hopefully when she gets back in her muslin wraps (they are all in the dirty laundry pile) she won't break free, I'm not ready to move her to a sleep sack just yet.

She has given up the baby crack (John thinks she will do better with the baby crack chair when she can really start kicking her legs and get it bouncing) and moved on to the Graco Newborn Soothing Center that her friend Gray is letting us borrow. She gets in there, chills out to her lullaby playlist (that her mommy made) on her ipod and usually sits there content for an hour before closing her eyes.

This is what Fannie Bradley is listening to right now:

Good Ole Boys Like Me ~ Don Williams
A Mother's Prayer ~ Céline Dion
Godspeed ~ Dixie Chicks
Mother ~ Katrina Carlson
Unborn Lullaby ~ Dean Backholm
The Rainbow Connection ~ Sarah McLachlan
Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) ~ Billy Joel
What a Wonderful World ~ Louis Armstrong
Mother and Child ~ Dean Backholm
In My Life ~ Crosby, Stills & Nash
Hush Little Baby ~ The Weavers
I Bid You Goodnight ~ Aaron Neville
Amazing Grace ~ The Little Series
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ~ Elizabeth Mitchell & Lisa Loeb
Somewhere over the Rainbow ~ Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
Banana Pancakes ~ Jack Johnson
I'll Stand By You ~ Pretenders
Morning Has Broken ~ Cat Stevens
Georgia On My Mind ~ Ray Charles
I Believe in You ~ Don Williams
Lullaby ~ Dixie Chicks
Messiah, oratorio, HWV Hallelujah ~ Atlanta Symphony Chorus

FB is smiling big time and not just because of gas.

Biggest smile award: Uncle Jake, who calls her Frankie
Pretty good smile award: Daddy, Grandmommy Nancy and Grandmother Angie
No smile award: Mommy

Last Tuesday (8 weeks), I witnessed her full out laughing at her Uncle Jake.

New nickname of the month: Fannie Wannie

If you wake her up and it is time to eat, by golly you better have her bottle ready or you will hear about it! So after some trial and error (really just some loud screaming), we get her bottle warmed and in place before we even think about getting her up.

The few times she does scream, her very long legs girate up and down. Hysterical.

She is awesome during bath time. Just lays there chillin'. But don't put any cold water on her...she might just tell you what she thinks about that.

She is really starting to fill out. And those cheeks sort of just appeared one day.

She is sleeping 8-9 hours at night (has been for weeks) and would go longer if I didn't wake her up for breakfast.

That bottom lip keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

She has a hard time going to sleep if she thinks she is going to miss something eventful, like at church or any social gathering with more people than just her Mommy and Daddy in attendance. Typical woman.

Best way to soothe her these days is to hold her against your chest, don't cradle her in your arms. She also likes to have her cheek stroked.

Her umbilical cord stump fell off on July 4th. She was 6.5 weeks old. I think that should be in the Guiness Book of World Records. I like to think that she wasn't ready to fully let go of me. YEAH RIGHT!

I keep saying this but she really is a very good baby. Knock on wood. Cross your fingers. Say a prayer. Wish upon a star. I have done them all!

Fannie Bradley goes for a dip

in the swimming pool!

Fannie Bradley had her first swimming pool experience today and what a beautiful day to do so. The weather today was so unseasonablly cool that you could almost get used to it, then you remember that you live in Hotlanta and it is the middle of July and tomorrow will be 98 degrees.

Brown Dog Love

Fannie Bradley loves her brown dog and even has a onesie to show it!

John David and Calder's momma gave FB this cute onesie

and Fannie Bradley is sporting her first BOW!! Too cute.

The brown dog is much more interested in Fannie Bradley than the yellow dog is. Butch likes to check her out and is very protective of her and sits by her or whoever is holding her. I wonder if he was around babies in his first life, I know Sundance was not! Sundance wants little to nothing to do with her. First born furry baby seems to be a tad jealous of first born squishy baby. I am pretty sure Sundance was the instigator of the curtain fringe snack last week.

Sugar and Spice...

and all things nice, that's what little girls are made of!

Fannie Bradley and Emmie met officially tonight.

Emmie came to visit Fannie B in the hospital but they didn't get to say hello to each other...

but tonight they did!

Fannie Bradley and Emmie are going to be great friends as they are two of the few girls (only boys being born to all of John's friends this year, unless the Denbows give us another girl playmate in December!) and the closest in age. We are picturing tea parties, sleepovers and lots of dress up in our future with these two!

Best Ever

In my opinion, America witnessed BY FAR, the best Rose Ceremony and rejection limo ride, EVER. In the history of all of the Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons and I have watched all of them, last's nights was the BEST!!!! Not even the most dramatic rose ceremony, just the best and most entertaining. It was so good, I had to rewind the TV several times to watch Wes' performance and was laughing so loud I woke Fannie Bradley up.

I know this blog is about our family, especially FB, but this was too good to pass up. She needs to know that the best rose ceremony ever was on the eve of her 7 week birthday.

Adios Wes.

Lo Siento John.

Fannie Bradley's First 4th of July

We started off the day by watching Daddy run the Peachtree, followed by a Refuel after the Roadrace Brunch at The McArthurs (sadly I didn't take any pictures there), followed by our Fourth Annual 4th of July Party (where I did not take enough pictures)!

This was the first year that we had children at the party! It seems to be a sign of the times (The New Normal) as there were 3 pregnant ladies in attendance too!

Happy 4th of July from our family to yours!
