Quote of the Day

Well, really it was a question but it is too good not to share!

One of the mothers in Music Class: Did you have her hair cut into that style?

Kyle: (is she serious, do people have their 10 month olds hair cut into a style)

Oh no, it has just grown in that way!

Meadowbrook Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday afternoon, our neighborhood hosted an Easter Egg Hunt in the cul-de-sac. It started at 4:00 and when the Slowsky Family showed up at 4:20 (with good reason, we were exhausted from the Fannie & Friends Egg Hunt) it was already over! Oh well, good thing the Princess doesn't know these things, yet! But the Easter Bunny was there so she got to see him, again. And we got to see all of our neighborhood friends!

I love this look on her face, as if she is thinking, oh dear, it's you again!

Doing her favorite thing: WAVING to the Bunny!

Now doing her other favorite thing: POINTING to the Bunny!

If she didn't stick out and play with her tongue all the time, I would think she was doing this on purpose...maybe she is!

It started pouring while we were still standing in the cul-de-sac. So we had to run back to the car in the rain. Mommy was of course melting. FB was in heaven. Biggest grin on her face. Ever.

First Annual Fannie & Friends Easter Egg Hunt

This post is soooo long with so many pictures, it is a work in progress! In the meantime, not to fall really behind, I am going to post some other happenings!

Welcome Baby Ryder!

Fannie Bradley has another new boyfriend!

* Please note, I know this picture is sideways. For some reason and this has NEVER happened to me before, but Blogger is rotating the picture when it uploads. Does anyone know how to fix that? *

Amy Langford Ratliff and her husband Jamie welcomed a little boy into the world last week in Nashville!

If Ryder is as tall as his Daddy, he really might be one of FB's future suitors!

Congratulations and we can't wait to meet him!

Spring Break 0-10

The Betties took our annual late Winter trip this past weekend (March 19-21) which happened to fall on the first day of Spring! Instead of heading to the mountains or the lake, we headed to a different lake, Lake Oconee, and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation. What started out as one room quickly grew to two as our group got larger. When the first car load of girls checked in, they found that our 2 rooms had been upgraded.....

to this!

our own house with three finished levels and a private pool, on the lake! Not too shabby!

While enjoying some wine on the porch, the doorbell rings.....champagne and truffles were delivered. Really?

This was the name of our cottage...

and it is where all of the Presidents stay when they are in town.

So Friday night we head to the main hotel via our own golf cart

for dinner at Georgia's Bistro.

First stop was the hotel bar

for a round of French Martinis.

After a scumptious dinner, we ordered a fire back at our house

and sipped on champagne.

Then we decided a fire wasn't complete without s'mores, so we ordered some of those!

(terrible pic)

And we roasted s'mores

until they were all gone and it was time to retire to our own bedrooms!

Saturday morning, we went to the Spa and the 5 of us took a private yoga session.

You are lucky I didn't take any pictures. One of the positions resembled the position I was in on May 19, 2009.

After yoga we ate breakfast back at Georgia's then headed to the pool.

Hence the reason for the title of this post. We felt like we were on Spring Break. 0-10.

We lounged all day. Chilaxing.

We ate, we drank. We made friends. We (read: Carrie) won bets.

So this trio of old midwesterners from Ohio were in town on a golf trip. They bet one of their members who was an Army Ranger to jump out of the pool and get to the buoy in the lake and back for $200. They were making a ruckus. Army Ranger jumped in the lake, swam about 10 feet and turned around.

We challenged them then elected Carrie to carry out the duty.

The water was COLD.

Yay Carrie! The entire pool deck was watching and cheering!

And the Ohioans paid up.

Since Katie left late afternoon to rest up for the ING Half Marathon, we called Caelyn and invited her to join us from Athens.

Christopher was on the lake visiting friends so the Brady siblings had a mini family vay cay.

Saturday Night we had Jimmy, our driver from Long Island, take us to dinner at Cuscowilla.

Another memorable meal. Another memorable trip.

Thanks girls!

Rough Night, Fannie?

We never know what we are going to find in the mornings....

another special "do"!

And it seems to be Lyle Lovett inspired, again.

She was not digging the flash this morning...

Check out that drool spot. Thank goodness for waterproof matress covers!

Now she's awake!

She will be getting a wet down before we leave the house.

Gotta tame that 'fro!

Music Class ~ Week 2

What a beautiful day!

Anticipating the beautiful spring weather, I took the tags off of several pieces of FB's spring ensemble last night and washed them so we would have something to wear over the next few days should the weather allow it.

Fannie B finally got to wear one of her new spring outfits today. I squealed with delight at all of her skin that was showing. Knowing good and well she might have to put her snow suit back on tomorrow!

On the way to music...

Check out those (long) cute piggies.

Miss Meredith giving Fannie more instruments

Most of which end up in her mouth!

Our little drummer girl

Fannie is loving her new ride!

Another fun week of music class!

Thoughts on Fannie Bradley's Tenth Month

nicknames: Fan, Boobsie, Chatty Cathy, Boobs

favorite body part: HAIR!!!!!!!!!!

It is officially really out of control now. See Lyle Lovett post. It is so long in the front that it comes down past her eyes, we aren't real sure if she can even see. ha ha. It is probably (past) time for a haircut but we just aren't ready to experience that milestone yet. And it is starting to really have some body to it.

food: black beans, rice, guacamole, green beans, black eyed peas, string cheese, Earth's Best Cherry Cereal Bar, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, carrot soufflé, mac & cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, shredded cheese, chicken, pizza, shepherd's pie, yogurt, ice cream, waffles, watermelon

tooth count: (still think just) 3

twirling her hair (again, she did this a few months ago) when she is really tired

bumping heads (a.k.a. head butting!)

making a gurgling sound

pointing

bending her body in half, fast

trying to eat food off of her high chair tray with no hands (will have to nip that in the bud, fast.)

giving herself her own bottle

rolling to get where she wants to go, all over the place!

started both of our new Music Classes

Chewing on her thumb (don't think she is sucking it, yet!)

will try and repeat words, watch out for what you are saying, she is listening hard!

clapping

her tongue is out and exploring alot, and it's long!

wearing size 3 diaper

banging head on back of highchair

Lyle Lovett

at her best

after her morning nap.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had a fun night tonight. Caroline Chisholm had the girls and babies over for a fine Irish dinner: Shepherd's Pie!

Fannie Bradley's boyfriend Walker was there

So cute!

So FB starting slipping on the leather couch...

and fell into her boyfriend

and started crying some big ole crocodile tears. And we just giggled, I am a bad mother, I know, but she is so cute when she cries.

(enter Daddy to pick FB up and take her home with him)

She is looking up at him, like uh, why aren't you rescuing me?

Ahhh, much better now!

Daddy with our little leprechaun!
