Betties take Burton

I went to Lake Burton last weekend and was away from Fannie Bradley for the first time. I left her in good hands, sometimes I think they may be better than my own, and knowing I was a very short 1 hour and 45 minute car ride away was very reassuring but some vacation I had, as I was EXHAUSTED from missing her (and John) instead of well rested from relaxing the whole weekend! Heartache took on a whole new meaning.

Friday Afternoon

a working Lunch at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega

Friday Night

On the way to dinner at Waters Edge

Saturday Afternoon

There was a new dog in town! Introducing Peanut Faletti. All 3 pounds of him.

Bathing Betties

Lauren sat in the shade and caught up on gossip

Katie took a dip in the lake

We ate some lunch and drank some vino

Andrianna relaxed

and so did Prego

Carrie geared up for some water sports

I don't know what happened in this shot but I sort of like it....

Carrie, a pro slalom skiier

Lindsey and I enjoyed the scenery

Camp Brady

Katie wakeboarded

The changing of the life vests

Lindsey wakeboarded too

and then.....we weren't going anywhere! the rope got stuck in the motor.

The girls tried to pull the boat in. hysterical. The dock was further than it looked.

Carrie trying to wave down help. They just waved back. ha ha

this boat and dog, came to the rescue

and pulled us to shore.....awww....Home Sweet Home

and then my camera battery died

Even if it meant leaving a little slice of heaven, I could not wait to get home to my sweet baby. I think she had grown, really. I like to think she missed me too. I know she did.

Welcome Home Mommy

That was the title of the text message that I received as I was pulling back into town this evening from my first weekend away from Fannie Bradley.

And this is what was waiting for me at the bottom of the driveway!
(picture was included in the text message)

Post about my fun weekend to follow after I spend some QT with my baby!

Thoughts on Fannie Bradley's 3rd Month

sleeping 9-10 hours at night, only getting up because we wake her up

nicknames: Smiles, Bubbles, Miss Priss, FBrad (coined by Clint Roberts), Rooster/Roo (originally coined by Helen Hull for the tuft of hair in the back that STANDS STRAIGHT UP NO MATTER HOW MUCH SPIT WE PUT ON IT)

started a new class which we love and have met some awesome new friends, for mommy and FB: Play 2 Grow

http://www.play-2-grow.com/

the last couple of weeks we have been letting her nap during the day in her big girl bed a.k.a. her crib. We recently changed the sheet on it which entails removing the bumper, removing the matress completely from the crib and re-tying all the bows on the bumper (John ties much better bows that I do, scary!) OH MY GOSH. I was out of breath. Of course the daddy was saying, "this isn't that bad". Uh, yes it is! Again, another product that I have a new respect for is The Ultimate Crib Sheet. We have 2 of them that I have been waiting to pull out, well wait no longer.

new tricks: both hands above her head grabbing onto her hair and twirling it, blowing bubbles, drooling (now I understand why babies wear bibs ALL the time), making a clicking noise, lifting up her dress

air: Fannie B has taken up playing the air guitar, air violin and drives her air car on her air steering wheel at 10 and 2! has caused real tears from laughter

she has discovered her hands and is now putting them in her mouth

she has also discovered her feet but she can't quite get to them. It is more like she has discovered her shins and ankles. hysterical! Poor kid has the longest legs and doesn't stand a chance at being flexible.

she loves her Doggie mobile in her crib (see above)

lost bow count: 1

(and its the light pink one too, dern, as that is our most popular bow, I thought it would have resurfaced by now but seeing as how it is smaller than a quarter, I haven't found it yet!)

while breastfeeding, she has taken to practicing her cheerleading jumps/gymnastic moves with her legs. Doing a hurkie while attached to your food source is quite interesting....

grabs on to anything and everything with those sweet delicate hands and extra long fingers: shirts, daddy's chest hair, the swing at Play 2 Grow class, tags (now I understand the phenemenon behind Taggies, to be honest, I thought they were pretty stupid and tacky before having a baby)

has said "hey" three times in one week, yes our child is talking. Call Harvard. Call Yale.

1) said it to Mommy in the kitchen while Daddy was standing there too

2) said it to Grandmommy Nancy in Mommy & Daddy's living room while Mommy was sitting across the room

3) said it to Daddy and Grandmommy Nancy at Big Daddy Joe & Grandmommy Nancy's house

was hoping she would say "hey y'all" to the New Yorkers (really Washingtonians now) but she didn't pull through for us, this time!

SMILING alot! and even at her mommy now. ;)

I had been convinced that we did not even really need a baby monitor, much less the video monitor, since our house is so small. Well, we are now the new owners of this video monitor and we are obsessed with it! It is highly entertaining. The first time I put her in her crib with the video monitor on, she looked at it and smiled the entire time until she fell asleep. It has a green light on it so I know she was intrigued with that but the smiling was just too much. She is such a pistol, already. We are in for it.

making lots of distinct facial expressions, especially the one eyebrow lift with her right eyebrow, I hear she gets that honestly.....though it is her mommy's left eyebrow that might get raised, on occassion.

We have added 2 more cd's to her musical rotation:

Elvis for Babies

life is getting sweeter by the second!

Roe !!

Fannie Bradley had a dinner date with one of her boyfriends and future suitors, Master Roe Williams, tonight so all of the parents thought they should tag along.

They met up at Ribs, etc.

It was love at first sight!

Roe showed FB what she has to look forward to in the next couple of months: Sweet Potatoes and cereal!

Such a charmer, Look at that smile!

Roe was still hungry so he went in for some dessert....

the nineteenth

On her three month birthday, Fannie Bradley was a lady who lunches at the Neiman Marcus Cafe with her Mommy and Aunt Polly, dressed in Lilly Pullitzer, Mandarin Orange Souffle was enjoyed by all!
Monthly post to follow later this evening!

The 6 B's

A typical night in the life of Fannie Bradley

Bob

Bath

Bottle

Burp

Butch & Ball?

This would actually take the "B" count up to 8 but since this was so uncharacteristic of Butch, we will leave the "B" count at 6. The night we were taking these pictures, I had let Butch in from the backyard and put him in his kennel. John found him like this, I hadn't even noticed that he snuck it in! Balls aren't allowed in the house and Butch doesn't usually even like the balls, that is Sundance's job. This is funny to us, thus the reason it had to be included!

Book

turning the pages with her feet!

Bed/Bassinet

Sweet Dreams!
