This is what my feet look like....

and feel like. It hurts to walk, drive, sit, stand. I can barely move my toes. I had to wear plastic Havaianas to church on Sunday because none of my other sandals would go on. Real classy. Even my Rainbows are too tight. I have cankles and my toes look like Little Smokies Sausages. It is going to be a long 4.5 weeks in this heat.

Better NOW than 5 weeks from Now?

I guess so.

We have a tree root growing into and breaking up our old terra cotta sewer line. We found this out 11 days ago when the toliet starting gurgling so I haven't washed clothes or dishes since then. We have been using the toliet sparingly which is always fun when you are 8.75 months pregnant. The backhoe wouldn't fit through the posts in our carport so through the neighbors yard it went.

The one positive thing is that I cannot wait to put this on our Seller's Disclosure when we go to sell the house
(again, not selling anytime soon, I am just saying!):

Somewhere between Park City and Sundance, Utah

March 12, 2007

Could that be any prettier? While Jake was living in Utah, we went out there for a visit and skiied Park City for a few days. We fell in love with Park City. And of course, before leaving the state, we had to make a special trip south to Sundance. Still a few months shy of becoming first time parents to our furry baby, we knew that Sundance would be his name. There is also a huge Robert Redford fan in the family. ;)

34 Week Doctor Appointment

The appointment today was pretty uneventful. I did see the last doctor in the practice that I had not seen yet and I liked her alot. Heard the heart beat!! Doctor did notice what I believe to be severe swelling in my feet and hands but she wasn't overly concerned with it. I am. When you have to wear old Rainbow flip flops to view an $8.9 million dollar house that Arthur Blank owns on Tuxedo you would be concerned too. And after measuring my stomach, I am back to measuring on track for 34 weeks. So no ultrasound scheduled for the 36 week appointment. Boo, I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Sweet Pea again. So, on May 4 (May, May, May!!!!!) we will go back for our 36 week appointment where they will check for any dialating and do the Group B strep test.

After the doctor's office, I stopped by the Lactation Center at Piedmont to get some clarification on breast pumps. I am more confused now than before I got there. It has been narrowed down between a Medela and an Ameda. This is the last big purchase that has yet to be made and I would love to mark it off the list.

Heading north on Peachtree, I stopped by Peachtree Battle and hit up the new Zoe's Kitchen. I was not dissappointed. Pimento Cheese sandwich with the pasta salad on the side. I will be going back, soon.

And while I was in Peachtree Battle, I might as well stop by Savor and pick up some of the sour cream (loaded baked potato) potato salad. Can I get a fork with that? Thanks.

On another note, I am really enjoying drinking Arnold Palmers right now. So much so I made a special stop at Publix just for a gallon of diet sweet tea and lemonade. And I am NOT an iced tea drinker at all.

Who knew this product was available? Not me and think I will just keep making my own!

And 2 new flavors of Haagen-Daaz to add to the line-up:

Less than 40 days to go.....I think I hear angels singing somewhere.

Baby Shower for the Grandmother-to-Be!

On April 2nd, The Betties hosted a fabulous dessert and champagne baby shower honoring Sweet Pea and the Grandmother-to-be and invited the entire Jenny Pruitt Buckhead office family. The idea behind the Grandmother Shower is that Angie would receive things that she will keep at her house so she can babysit in the comfort of her own home! Sounds great to me. ;)

Just to clarify:

The Betties consist of 4 current Jenny Pruitt agents, 3 former JPA agents, 1 JPA client and 1 best friend who like to drink alot of wine, travel, and get together for no reason at all except to drink alot of wine and talk about the next trip we are taking. We do lots of other things too but those are the most important!

Thanks ladies, it was a very special evening. We have an amazing office and I am so glad that 5 years ago we decided to venture into this crazy world of residential real estate and all ended up together.

Easter Weekend

Friday evening we picked up Chisholm and headed east to Augusta amidst the rain, hail and tornados. We made it safe to Summer and Jason's house and visited with them. Saturday morning Jason fixed us a hearty breakfast then we were off to Augusta National. It was a beautiful day and not as muddy as we had expected from the weather the night before. With a chair in tow and new balance tennis shoes on, John parked me at the 17th green and we had a great time talking to people that we knew who were walking by.

After about 4 hours, 2 pimento cheese sandwiches and half of an egg salad sandwich (which is an all time record for me for least amount of food consumed at the Masters, go figure, I think my sandwich consumption is directly correlated to my beer consumption), we were picked up at the main gate. The baby enjoyed it's first trip to the Masters especially knowing what it means to his/her daddy and granddaddy. Granddaddy Hinson has been attending since age 7 and Daddy John has been attending since age 5. Another great family tradition we hope to carry on.

Sitting in church this morning it was hard not to think about having an 11 month old for Easter next year and all the fun and "firsts" that will bring: Easter Basket, Easter egg hunts, monogrammed (ha!) Easter outfit, etc. After church we had lunch with the Orr Family. There were 16 of us! Our adopted family member Chisholm joined us too.

John with 2 of his favorite ladies

My head is already spinning with what to put in the baby's Easter basket next year! I have some cute ideas/themes that I can't wait to run with! Then I started thinking about the baby's Christmas stocking....

With the beautiful weather, we thought a doggy play date with Tucker was just the thing to do this afternoon so to the creek we went....

I love my new camera! It really makes a difference with fast moving objects such as dogs and babies!
